Jim joined Scottish Bakers in May 2008 and is now one of two Senior Training Advisors responsible for ensuring smooth delivery and quality across our Modern Apprenticeship programmes throughout the U.K..
Prior to joining Scottish Bakers/NFDT Jim was a bakery manager with Morrisons (formerly Safeway) overseeing instore retail and bakery production for 18 years. Jim learned the art of craft baking during his 5 years spent with Olivers, (Glasgow).
Jim works closely with food & drink business across the sector in delivering Food Manufacture Excellence qualifications and lean manufacture process along with sharing his retail and bakery manufacturing knowledge across the sector.
National Food and Drink Training (NFDT) was established in 2015 as a rebrand of Scottish Bakers training provision. This was a direct result of the strengthening of its portfolio to include lean manufacturing techniques and the delivery of the new Food Manufacturing Excellence (FME) qualifications.
