The General Manager and Day Bakery Manager were delighted to welcome two new bakery apprentices this month, Saphia Akhtar (2nd left) and Ellie Smith (2nd right). The Company has worked with Karen Taylor (right), the National Food and Drink Training Manager, to set up the new apprenticeship programme. We hope these two ladies enjoy the challenges ahead.
National Food and Drink Training (NFDT) was established in 2015 as a rebrand of Scottish Bakers training provision. This was a direct result of the strengthening of its portfolio to include lean manufacturing techniques and the delivery of the new Food Manufacturing Excellence (FME) qualifications.
