The coronavirus pandemic has hugely impacted the way we all work and some employers have had to make redundancies. To support apprentices facing redundancy, the UK Government has launched the Redundancy Support Service for Apprentices in England.
The following are now available for employers looking to hire an apprentice.
Employers could be eligible to get up to £2,000 for each new apprentice they hire, with the new incentive payments for employers. This includes hiring redundant apprentices.
If you're aware of any employers interested in hiring a redundant apprentice, they can share what opportunities they have available using the vacancy sharing service.
National Food and Drink Training (NFDT) was established in 2015 as a rebrand of Scottish Bakers training provision. This was a direct result of the strengthening of its portfolio to include lean manufacturing techniques and the delivery of the new Food Manufacturing Excellence (FME) qualifications.
